Beyond Words does not require a Doctor’s referral; however, some insurance plans do require this before providing coverage
Does your insurance cover services up to a maximum amount (e.g., $500.00/year) or do they cover a specific amount up to an annual maximum (e.g., $40.00/session up to $500.00/year).
Coverage generally renews on a specific date each year (e.g., January 1st). Knowing the renewal date helps you to plan how to make the most of the coverage that you are entitled to.
It is important to ask whether your company restricts the type of therapy that your child is eligible to receive (e.g., parent training, group therapy)
Parent involvement in therapy is encouraged! Our therapists will train caregivers on how to continue to work on goals at home. Many insurance companies cover this parent training which can greatly increase the amount of coverage you have for speech therapy services.
